Members and Friends Gather for Annual Meeting

On October 17, Attleboro Land Trust members and friends gathered at the Attleboro Arts Museum for our 24th annual meeting.

Our guest speaker, Henry George Tepper, incoming president of Mass Audubon, spoke about his experiences working with local and regional land trusts and about the special and productive partnership that exists in Attleboro between the Attleboro Land Trust and Mass Audubon's Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary.

In the business segment of the meeting, President Ted Leach gave a report on the accomplishments of the land trust in 2013 and Treasurer Roy Belcher provided a financial report. Four new members were elected to the Attleboro Land Trust Board of Directors: Phil Boucher, Susan Bourdeau, Jason Case, and Mike Michel. Board members re-elected to another 3-year term included: Charlie Adler, Aurelio "Sonny" Almeida, Roy Belcher, Victor Bonneville, Richard Crawford, Tim McGinn, Mike O'Brien, David Scanlan, and Betsy Whitfield.

The Attleboro Land Trust is grateful for the many years of service contributed by four board members whose terms ended in 2013: David Hill, Anne Newquist, Glenn Weidner, and Bertha Young.
