Vaughan Memorial Forest

Larson Woodland is centrally located along the Ten Mile River in an area that is historic, well-populated with people, and home to interesting wildlife.  A popular spot is the dam and spillway at Mechanics Pond.  Great blue heron can be seen here.  In the spring, snapping turtles lay their eggs at Sandy Point.
