On Saturday, April 10, there will be a work party at the Deborah and Roger Richardson Nature Preserve from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Details below.
At this work party, we will follow these COVID-19 precautions:
— Everyone must wear a mask.
— Everyone must maintain a 6-foot distance from each other.
— Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Bring your own:
— face mask (required)
— work gloves
— water
Any cancellations due to weather will be posted on this website.

WORK PARTY – SATURDAY, APRIL 10
Location: Deborah and Roger Richardson Nature Preserve
577B Wilmarth Street
Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
Tasks:
–Uprooting, cutting up, and removing invasive shrubs and saplings along the edges of the hayfields.
–Installing bluebird houses in the hayfields.
–Possibly some other maintenance tasks.
Tools needed will include:
–Shovels, pick axes
–Tarps
–Loppers, pruning shears, pruning saws, and other pruning tools
–String trimmers
–Brush cutters
We will have some tools, but bring what you have.
Durable work clothes are recommended for protection from briers and poison ivy.
